I value a holistic and collaborative approach when working with individuals, couples, and families. I seek to provide a therapeutic space that offers safety and acceptance so one can explore and understand a deeper sense of self. I utilize an integrated and experiential approach that is emotion focused to discover new meaning, cultivate awareness, and foster interpersonal growth. I consider the whole of a person and bring a focus to the mind and body connection. I seek to meet clients where they are on their journey and understand that change takes time.
I am currently earning a MA in couples and family counseling. My training encompasses working with individuals, couples, and families using a strengths-based approach. I’ve had the privilege to work with families over the years as a social worker and a birth doula.
The first steps toward change can be uncomfortable and overwhelming. I’m happy to offer 15 min phone consultations to prospective clients.

Reaching out to a therapist can feel vulnerable and overwhelming–I’ve been there too. I remember the fear and self-doubt involved in asking for help, but most importantly, I remember the therapists who helped me through. I’d love to do the same for you.
I aim to make each session relaxing, empowering, and transformative, with some humor in there too! My areas of clinical interest include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and family of origin challenges; I’m also excited to work with those experiencing social anxiety, both lifelong and COVID-related.
I take an integrative, person-centered approach to therapy, while tying in ideas from cognitive-behavioral therapy, existentialism, and schema therapy. I’m also certified in the use of Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma recovery. I earned Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Communication from Loyola University Chicago and am in my final year of a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University.

My experience includes working with families and individuals who have a history of trauma exposure and diagnosed with mental illness. My clinical approach is Client-Centered and Solution-focused.
I believe that all clients, regardless of background or history, can thrive in an empathetic environment, which provides acceptance, respect, and unconditional support. The client is the leader in goal setting and I as the therapist will act as a guide during your journey – your perspective, solutions, and values are important to the process of healing.

Being alive is an extraordinary project. For as many experiences as there are which enrich and empower us, there are those which challenge us and cast doubt on our sense of self, and the direction of our lives. While it’s virtually guaranteed that we’ll all encounter some moments of suffering, I’m certain that life is meant to be enjoyed. Often, when we allow another to accept us fully, and to bear witness to our struggles, we find strength. You already have the tools necessary for healing. Let’s find out how to use them!
